I’ve been a journalist for more than 40 years, working in press, radio and television. In June 2018 I started a local daily newspaper together with Yasemin Östenar. We work in what they call a vulnerable area, better to say in a politically neglected part of Stockholm. Last year we published 1082 articles, written by 221 different persons. 197 of them live or work in our area, tha majority of them have another mother tungue than swedish. All persons write for free, only three editors are paid.
Journaliste depuis plus de 40 ans, Kerstin a travaillé pour la presse écrite, la radio et la télévision. En juin 2018, elle a lancé un quotidien local avec Yasemin Östenar. Ensemble elles travaillent dans une « zone vulnérable », un quartier de Sotckholm négligé par les pouvoirs publics. L’an derner, 1082 articles ont été publiés, écrits par près de 200 personnes vivant dans ce quartier et dont la moitié n’a pas le Suédois comme langue maternelle.
